Our Story
About HoneyTree
HELLO! WE'RE JACOB AND KATIE — OWNERS, DESIGNERS, BUILDERS, AND OPERATORS OF HONEYTREE.
When we lived in the city, we were always searching for the perfect rural getaway.
So we hatched a plan to build one.
At first we clashed over and over again on design decisions, until we called a truce and started to take turns being lead designer on each new cabin. This arrangement has allowed us to have strong opinions and also stay married.
It's also how we ended up with seventeen unique designs.
We know you'll find the perfect one to help you mark your special occasion, simply relax or reconnect, and maybe even work through the tricky bits together.
Why We Love the Hill Country
When we didn't live here. We visited.

When you visit Fredericksburg, you don't have to make any compromises. Visit the Pioneer Museum, hike Enchanted Rock, or stroll down Main Street and get an out of this world pastry at Keidel Pharmacy. We are this tiny town, but we have one of the best lattes in the state hiding in Revive, our local organic juicery.

My wife and I loved staying here after our wedding, the view was fantastic, the layout was pet friendly and we really enjoyed sitting by the pool area to soak in the sun. It was only a short drive to Enchanted Rock as well!

10/10 experience! This place was everything we needed—so peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect escape. The stars at night were amazing. Jacob was incredibly responsive and made everything so easy. We had such a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay here. Super cozy and quiet. We enjoyed having coffee on the deck looking at the view and listening to nature. The kitchen had everything we needed. You can tell they put thought into making our stay comfortable and convenient. Even the paper towels and toilet paper were top notch! The free Tesla (and other EV) chargers were an unexpected and pleasant surprise! It made our trip that much easier. We didn’t get a change to enjoy the shared pool area but it looked very well maintained and put together. Definitely would book here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Blue Sage. I was struck by the thoughtfulness with which the unit was built and designed but also by the common spaces. EV chargers were ample, it was a beautiful and scenic 8 minute drive into town, and 10 minutes in the opposite direction to Enchanted Rock. 10/10 recommend.
